Inaugural summit & awards highlight opportunities for healthcare providers across the emerging markets of Asia
SINGAPORE, SEPTEMBER 23, 2016 – Ahmedabad-based Mayflower Women’s Hospital bagged the Best Hospital for Gynaecology Award at the inaugural Icons of Healthcare Awards in Singapore on September 23.
The inaugural edition of the unique pan-Asian international forum – Icons of Healthcare – was hosted in Singapore on September 23, amidst the presence of medical professionals and healthcare providers from India, Singapore, Philippines, Nepal and Oman. Organised by Singapore-based Business Excellence & Research Group, the summit witnessed deliberations over some of the key aspects and opportunities for healthcare delivery across Asia.
Focussed on Celebrating Innovation in Patient Care, Icons of Healthcare by BERG Singapore provided an ideal platform for doctors, healthcare professionals, technology & branding professionals to come together and share some innovative strategies to manage healthcare services as well as patient care with the use of technology and use communication strategies to create more impact.

Fortis Group of Hospitals, New Delhi was awarded the Best Multi-speciality Chain, followed by Farrer Park Hospital Singapore – Best Integrated Healthcare & Wellness complex, Nandana Healthcare Services (Unit Kaade Hospital) Bangalore – Best Multi-Speciality Hospital, Dr. Malagaonkar’s Progenesis Fertility Centre Nasik – Best Hospital for reproductive medicine and IHN Nepal – Emerging healthcare company of Nepal. Ananya Gastroenterology Hyderabad bagged the award for Best Centre for Gastroenterology; Wide Vision Group Ltd, Muscat, Oman as Leading International Medical Tourism Agency and Strength India Movement, Chennai was awarded the Excellence in General Wellness at the Awards nite.
Some of the leading professionals including Ms. Noemi Azura, President & CEO- PhilCare Philippines bagged the award for Female Healthcare Professional of the year, Dr. Ritesh Gupta, New Delhi was awarded Excellence in Endocrinology, Dr. P.R. Ashwin Vijay, Chennai was awarded Excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. S Dhorepatil, Pune was awarded Excellence in Obesity Surgery, Dr. Anil Mehta, Bangalore was awarded Excellence in Surgery and Dr. Chandan Sandhu was awarded Excellence in Preventive & Non-invasive Cardiology.
